Postie Mike - A Dog's Best Friend is a children's book written and self-p[ublished by local postman, Mike Paterson, about the local dogs that he has befirended on his dialy postal run in Albert-Eden. This project received $3,000 in funding from the Albert-Eden Local Board, and support from the Neighbourhood Arts Broker to assist Mike with bringing this book to the community. This project has had success well beyond its original scope, with the initial print run selling out in 8 days. Following features on RNZ, NZ Herald and Seven Sharp, the second print run has also been very successful. Mike has also been invited to read his book at local libraries and schools and many local dog owners are asking about a sequel to this first book.
