Waitītiko from Source to Sea by Carolyn Sylvester

A film that follows the path of Waitītiko, Meola Creek, from its source
on Ōwairaka to the sea at Meola Reef. The film flows along the geographical path of the
awa but explores the cultural and historical path by using haka, dance, music performance
and words from various communities based along the creek’s path. The goal is to explore,
and bring together, the different communities and stories threaded together by Waitītiko
through creation of an accessible piece of work that enlightens all those involved about
the creek, and celebrates the revitalisation of urban waterways.
