Road Cones are ubiquitous in Albert-Eden and this concept was cleverly used by Beth Kayes and Elizabeth Whiting of BeCo Theatre company to create an activation through which road cones came to life offering a different view of these through theatrical activations based in 11 town squares and public places across Albert-Eden. They transformed into creatures that emerged up out of the coned areas and strode through the town centres across Albert-Eden. The costumes reflected the textures and colours of road cones and traffic controllers. Moments of magic in everyday reality.
