Delight in the ephemeral beauty, breathe in the perfume, of garlands swaying in the breeze.
BLOOM was a collaborative art installation project which adorned the gingko trees in the Sandringham Reserve pocket park on the weekend of 18th and 19th of March.
The work, made from carnations and marigolds, was formed from garlands that were threaded by a group of children from Edendale Primary School, and was installed by artists, architects and art lovers of the Sandringham Community.
The installation was timed to support the annual Community Flower Carpet event organised by SPiCE, held on Sunday 19 March from 10:30am-noon. www.spice.org.nz or Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/1370730439714395/
