Do you have an idea for a creative project or event that you'd like to make happen in the Albert-Eden local board area between October 2017 and June 2018? The Neighbourhood Arts programme is now calling for projects that would like support through this initiative.
Projects: - can be from across the creative spectrum. Have a look at previous projects to see the range of what was included - radio stories, music, street performance, improv comedy, film making, temporary exhibitions, and quite a bit have all be supported. - should give equal emphasis to community outcomes as well as artistic outcomes. How does your project include members of the wider community? This might be as participants or co-creators, or as audience members because a project happens in a particularly public space.
What support can be provided? The Neighbourhood Arts programme can support your project in the following ways: - through administering funding provided by the Albert-Eden Local Board - through making connections and introductions to artists, community organisations, businesses or other people you might want to involve in your project - assistance with project and event mentoring - assistance with negotiating Auckland Council processes and procedures.
How to apply If you would like financial assistance with your project, please send the following information by 6pm, August 13, to email@example.com
- outline of your idea (this doesn't need to be a long essay!) - a budget - who is involved - what kind of support you would like - what your connection to the Albert-Eden area is
